Rats on Rafts
We are Rats On Rafts from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Our band consists of 4 people:

Our style of music has often been called Beat/Post-Punk/Ska/New Wave. We got together a few years ago and we have played a lot of gigs since. We we’re able to support Jay Reatard (US) Boston Chinks (US) and Digital Leather (US) a good few times. We’ve also played in a lot of cities from Darmstadt in Germany to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht, Arnhem, Eindhoven etc. On the 3rd of July 2008 we released our first EP titled “So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish” at our local venue called Waterfront in Rotterdam. We made a choice to record the songs fast, raw and rambling just as we like it. Yet we kept the sound pretty dry and the songs short! It was recieved quite well in the dutch press. 3voor12.nl “Fuck Jay Reatard and Mudhoney. Rats On Rafts are snotty Engslish but then again raw like Rotterdam! They turn Punk into New Wave again” LiveXS.nl “The suprise of the month for me is this band called Rats On Rafts from Rotterdam. It’s amazing how much they sound like bands that we’re gone before they we’re even born. Yet it sounds fresh, exciting, raw and pointy”

Rats on Rafts
Wij zijn Rats On Rafts uit Rotterdam. Onze band bestaat uit 4 man:

Joris Frowein (Drums)
Onze stijl wordt vaak omschreven als Beat/Post-Punk/Ska/New Wave. We zijn een paar jaar geleden bij elkaar gekomen en hebben sindsdien een hoop opgetreden zoals bijvoorbeeld in het voorprogramma van: Jay Reatard (US) Boston Chinks (US) en Digital Leather (US) Ook hebben we al in een hoop steden gespeeld van Darmstadt in Duitsland tot Den Haag, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Eindhoven enz. Op 3 juli 2008 hebben wij onze eerste EP “So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish” gepresenteerd in Waterfront (Rotterdam). De EP werd goed ontvangen en we werden onder andere uitgenodigt als Hollandse Nieuwe van 3voor12 en Local Heroes van LiveXS. 3voor12:
