Welcome to the site of the Tocado foundation.

The Tocado foundation was erectyed in 1993 to promote the local Rotterdam scene. In the early days Tocado was best known for it's magazine called "THC's Outgaanscourant'and the festivals we orgabnised at Nighttown and De Vlerk (which later became Waterfront).

Tocado is best known for the recortd label by the same name that was active from 1997 till 2010. Tocado Records has exactly 70 releases to it's name by the likes of Harry Merry, The Suicidal Birds, Stöma, Mark Lotterman, The Stiletto's and loads more. You can still find some of these in our webshop but most all long since sold out.

We quit Tocado-Records in 2010 for a number of reasons. Let's just say it's getting harder and harder for a small label to keep sales up in this era of streaming. Streaming doesn't make small artists let alone small labels any money.

So now were back where we started: we organize shows for local and touring bands and festivals!
